Step by step in Hostinger
Point your MX records
MX records tell other mail servers where to deliver your email. How MX works
- Type
- MX
- Name
-
@ - Priority
- 10
- Mail server
-
mx1.titan.email
- Type
- MX
- Name
-
@ - Priority
- 20
- Mail server
-
mx2.titan.email
- Type
- MX
- Name
-
@ - Priority
- 10
- Mail server
-
mx0101.titan.email
- Type
- MX
- Name
-
@ - Priority
- 20
- Mail server
-
mx0102.titan.email
In Hostinger
- In Manage DNS records, choose MX as the type.
- Enter @ as the Name, your provider's mail server, and the Priority. Keep the default TTL unless your provider asks otherwise.
- Click Add Record.
- Repeat for each MX record above.
Add the SPF record
SPF lists the services allowed to send email as you. How SPF works
- Type
- TXT
- Name
-
@ - TXT value
-
v=spf1 include:spf.titan.email ~all
- Type
- TXT
- Name
-
@ - TXT value
-
v=spf1 include:spf0101.titan.email ~all
In Hostinger
- In Manage DNS records, choose TXT as the type.
- Enter the Name (@ for the root, or only the prefix such as _dmarc) and the TXT value.
- Click Add Record.
- Repeat for each TXT record above.
Set up DKIM
DKIM signs your mail so receivers can trust it. How DKIM works
- Type
- TXT
- Name
-
<selector>._domainkey - TXT value
- Copy it from Titan Email Control Panel (see below)
Name: Copy the DNS Host Name shown with your DKIM record in the Titan Email Control Panel.
Where to find your value
In the Titan Email Control Panel, open the Email Reputation tab (or click the Improve Email Reputation banner). Under Add DKIM record, click Add and copy the TXT value.
- After adding the record, select I've added TXT records in my DNS control panel and click Verify changes.
- Titan doesn't allow more than one DKIM TXT value under the same selector.
- A new DKIM record can take up to 6 hours to propagate.
In Hostinger
- In Manage DNS records, choose TXT as the type.
- Enter the Name (@ for the root, or only the prefix such as _dmarc) and the TXT value.
- Click Add Record.
Add the DMARC record (recommended)
DMARC tells receivers what to do with mail that fakes your domain. How DMARC works
- Type
- TXT
- Name
-
_dmarc - TXT value
-
v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:admin@yourdomain.com
- Replace the address with your own. Later move p=none to quarantine and then reject.
In Hostinger
- In Manage DNS records, choose TXT as the type.
- Enter the Name (@ for the root, or only the prefix such as _dmarc) and the TXT value.
- Click Add Record.
Check your setup
Once the records are saved, run a live check. We look up your domain in public DNS and tell you what is right, missing or wrong, with the fix in Hostinger’s words.
Common mistakes with Titan Email on Hostinger
Adding records where DNS isn't managed
Records must go in the authoritative DNS zone, which may be different from where you bought the domain.
Two DKIM values under one selector
Titan rejects more than one TXT value under the same DKIM selector. Paste exactly the value from the control panel.
Hostinger: Delete Hostinger Email's MX records
If the domain was set up for Hostinger Email, the zone contains MX records for mx1.hostinger.com and mx2.hostinger.com. Delete them before adding another provider's MX records.
Hostinger: Clear out old email records
Hostinger recommends removing any existing MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records that point to other email services, because conflicting records cause delivery problems.
Titan Email on Hostinger: questions
Where do I add Titan Email DNS records in Hostinger?
In hPanel, go to Domains and click Manage next to your domain. Open DNS / Nameservers on the left. Use the Manage DNS records section. Add each record there, one at a time.
What goes in the Name field at Hostinger?
Enter @ for records on your bare domain, such as MX and SPF. For the others, enter only the part before your domain, for example _dmarc. Hostinger adds your domain automatically.
Do I need to delete my existing MX records at Hostinger?
Yes. Sending servers pick an MX record by its priority (lowest number first) and fall back to the others, so a leftover MX record can receive some or all of your mail. Keep only the Titan Email MX records and delete the rest. If the domain was set up for Hostinger Email, the zone contains MX records for mx1.hostinger.com and mx2.hostinger.com. Delete them before adding another provider's MX records. Hostinger recommends removing any existing MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records that point to other email services, because conflicting records cause delivery problems.
How long until Titan Email works on Hostinger?
Titan says new MX and TXT records can take up to 6 hours to go live. Your domain shows as Verified in the Titan control panel once they do. Hostinger says DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to fully propagate.
