Business email: questions

What is the cheapest business email with my own domain?

Among paid plans, Zoho Mail Lite starts at $1 per user a month billed yearly, and Hostinger Mail at $0.39 a month if you pay 48 months upfront (it renews at $1.59). Migadu charges $19 a year for a whole account with unlimited mailboxes but low sending limits. Free options exist too, with limits.

Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 for a small business?

Both start at $7 per user a month. Pick the one that matches the apps your team already uses: Gmail, Docs and Drive point to Google Workspace; Outlook, Word and Excel point to Microsoft 365. Microsoft 365 mailboxes hold 100 GB; Google Workspace Business Starter gives 30 GB per user, pooled.

Can I get business email for free?

Yes, with limits: Zoho Mail’s free plan covers up to 5 users on one domain without IMAP or POP, and Cloudflare Email Routing forwards mail at your domain to an inbox you already use. Our free email guide compares them.

Can I switch business email providers later?

Yes. Your domain stays yours: you change the MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records to the new provider’s and move your old mail across. Our setup guides list the exact records for each provider and DNS host.

Do I need a domain before I buy business email?

Yes. Business email gives you mailboxes at a domain you own. Some providers sell a domain during sign-up, or you can buy one at a registrar and point it at your email provider with DNS records.
